i’ve been meaning to ask but what are ur thoughts on a potential cmbyn sequel? tim tam was a powerhouse as elio and the mom and Esther garrel are h*t but i just. can’t see how it could possibly live up to the first one?

funny you ask i was thinking about this yesterday. i would love a sequel but in 10 years time! right now it really feels like fan service / awards bait (the complete opposite of what the film originally was) and less of a passion project. they obviously all love the story/each other but i’d want the actors to go and spend some time away from the cmbyn hype and then come back together. i think it would just seem more authentic that way (to themselves and to the book) and there would be less pressure on them i dunno.
