“I am wearing a Phat Farm shirt underneath a mudcloth waistcoast, a pair of P.A.C.O jeans, and some old dirty Vans. Besides the Vans, I found everything at small thrift stores in Bushwick or Greenpoint. My style inspiration? Probably a mix of growing up on hand-me-downs from family friends, spending my teenage years in the punk and metal scenes, and wearing oversized Dashikis for special occasions in my afrocentric family home. I also prefer to wear used clothes whenever possible so that they don’t go to waste. My favorite items of clothing are a few decades behind the times; the brands/styles that I wished I was wearing as a child.”
