i just remembered this film with paddy considine and samantha morton that i used to watch all the time as a child about an irish family that moved to new york and one of the daughters was the narrator and she was quiet and had a video camera and would make these wishes for her family and she was kind of magical but quiet about it. i’m gonna google it
